Experienced Upholsterer — Reading

A furniture repair and reupholstery business in Reading, Berkshire (RG30) is looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. The work covers reupholstery, repairs and restoration of domestic furniture in a workshop setting, with a mix of traditional and modern pieces.

What you'll be doing

• Reupholstering and repairing sofas, chairs and other domestic furniture
• Stripping, re-webbing, springing, padding and re-covering to a high standard
• Cutting and sewing covers and cushions
• Assessing incoming work and advising on the best repair or restoration approach

What we're looking for

• Proven upholstery experience on domestic furniture
• Confident with both traditional and modern methods
• Good attention to detail and a reliable, self-sufficient approach
• Based within reach of Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Newbury or Henley

What's on offer

• £28,000 to £38,000 per year depending on experience
• Permanent, full-time workshop role
