An award-winning luxury interior design, home staging and bespoke furniture company in Twickenham, West London is looking for an FF&E Quality Controller (also known internally as Stock Controller) to be the gatekeeper of quality across its warehouse operation. If you have a background in furniture, FF&E, interiors, fittings or installations, and an eye that catches the smallest flaw in a wood finish, fabric or metalwork, this is a rare chance to work hands-on with top-of-the-range furniture destined for luxury show homes and staging projects.
This is not a general warehouse role. You will inspect brand-new staging stock, bespoke furniture and luxury accessories, run a digital asset management system, and work directly with designers, warehouse managers and the logistics team.
What you'll be doing
- Quality inspection of incoming luxury furniture, bespoke FF&E and accessories, spotting transit damage, manufacturing flaws and finish inconsistencies before stock enters inventory
- Running the digital asset management system: scanning, logging, tracking and reconciling stock movements in real time
- Loading and unloading vans, ensuring items are wrapped, strapped and stowed to eliminate transit damage
- Supporting installations, property collections and container offloads at client sites when required
- Driving company 3.5t Luton vans between sites, client properties and suppliers
- Logging returns, damages and non-conformances, coordinating repairs and replacements with designers and procurement
- Maintaining a pristine, safe and well-organised warehouse with strict health and safety standards
What you'll need
- Exceptional attention to detail, able to spot minor imperfections on high-end fabrics, wood finishes, metalwork and delicate pieces
- A background or strong interest in furniture, FF&E, interiors, fittings or installations
- Full clean UK driving licence, confident driving 3.5t Luton or box vans
- Comfortable with inventory software, tablets and handheld barcode scanners
- Physically fit for sustained manual handling, container offloads and installation days
- Honesty, accountability and professionalism; you will represent the company inside luxury client properties
- Clear communication with everyone from warehouse teams to designers and directors
What's on offer
- £30,000 starting salary with a defined path to £36,000 within 18 months across a growing four-warehouse operation
- 25 days holiday plus 5 paid sick days
- Free parking
- Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm, no weekends
- Your input recognised directly by warehouse managers and directors
