Live Vacancy
Permanent · Full Time · Field Based · £30,368 to £34,528 plus double-time weekends, or approx. £45,000 self-employed package
We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, nationwide furniture restoration business operating across both the domestic and commercial furniture restoration sectors. This is a field-based Furniture Technician role covering Belfast and Northern Ireland, where you will be the face of the business in customers' homes, carrying out high-quality upholstery repairs, furniture restoration and clear inspection and liability reporting, while delivering excellent customer service.
Greater Belfast is the core of this Northern Ireland round, taking in Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Bangor and Antrim, with work arranged across BT postcodes one area at a time. The M1, M2, M3 and M22, along with the A2 to Bangor and the Sydenham bypass, connect the city to its surrounding towns. Housing includes red-brick terraces in east and south Belfast, large family estates in Lisburn and Newtownabbey, and coastal homes in North Down. An upholsterer or furniture repairer already based in or around Belfast would know the roads and the communities this work serves.
Area covered: Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey, Bangor, Antrim and all BT postcodes. Work is organised by postcode area, one area per day, so you are working close to home around Belfast (BT1 2BA) rather than driving across the country.
This role is ideal for an experienced Upholsterer, Furniture Repair Technician, Furniture Technician, Service Technician, Trimmer, Furniture Restorer, Sofa Repair Technician or Mobile Furniture Technician, or anyone who has carried out in-home repairs and inspections on sofas, chairs, beds, mattresses or cabinetry. It is a genuine move into a stable, well-supported position with proper training, structure and progression.
If you are an Upholsterer, Furniture Technician, Furniture Restoration Technician, Furniture Repair Technician or Service Technician living around Belfast and looking for a stable, well-paid, field-based role with genuine training and progression, we would love to hear from you.
