Our client is a well-established, reputable national furniture repair and restoration company, and they are looking for an experienced Upholsterer or Furniture Restoration Technician to cover Carlisle.
This is a field-based role. You will attend pre-booked appointments in customers' own homes to carry out repairs and inspections on upholstery, cabinets, beds and mattresses, and complete inspection and liability reports through a purpose-built app. Your work is organised by area, so you cover one postcode area per day with no cross-country travel.
What you'll be doing
- Attend pre-booked appointments in customers' homes across your area
- Carry out repairs to upholstered furniture, cabinets, beds and mattresses to a high standard
- Inspect furniture and produce clear inspection and liability reports using the company app
- Represent the business professionally and deliver excellent customer service in every home you visit
What we're looking for
- Strong upholstery and/or furniture repair experience; upholstery experience is preferred
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- A professional, customer-facing manner, as the role is carried out in customers' own homes rather than a workshop
- Well organised, reliable and comfortable working independently
What's on offer
- Salary of £30,368 to £34,528 per year, based on a 40-hour week
- Overtime paid at double time, available every weekend

- Full training at the company's HQ, plus ongoing learning and development
- A self-employed alternative is also available on an approximate £50,000 package, on which you supply your own van and tools
