Live Vacancy
Permanent · Full Time · Field Based · £30,368 to £34,528 plus double-time weekends, or approx. £45,000 self-employed package
We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established, nationwide furniture restoration business operating across both the domestic and commercial furniture restoration sectors. This is a field-based Furniture Technician role covering North London (NW1), where you will be the face of the business in customers' homes, carrying out high-quality upholstery repairs, furniture restoration and clear inspection and liability reporting, while delivering excellent customer service.
Camden and Islington terraces, Hampstead townhouses and the leafy semis of Finchley, Barnet and Enfield make up a varied round where mansion-block sofas sit alongside family dining chairs. Days are planned by postcode, so a technician might cover NW3 and NW5 one day and EN2 the next, using the A1, A41, A10 and the North Circular rather than crossing the whole city. Parking on narrow Victorian streets and carrying pieces up shared stairwells are part of the job. An upholsterer already living in north London or just inside the M25 would keep travel short and know the patch from day one.
Area covered: Camden, Islington, Hampstead, Finchley, Barnet and Enfield. Work is organised by postcode area, one area per day, so you are working close to home around North London (NW1 2DB) rather than driving across the country.
This role is ideal for an experienced Upholsterer, Furniture Repair Technician, Furniture Technician, Service Technician, Trimmer, Furniture Restorer, Sofa Repair Technician or Mobile Furniture Technician, or anyone who has carried out in-home repairs and inspections on sofas, chairs, beds, mattresses or cabinetry. It is a genuine move into a stable, well-supported position with proper training, structure and progression.
If you are an Upholsterer, Furniture Technician, Furniture Restoration Technician, Furniture Repair Technician or Service Technician living around North London and looking for a stable, well-paid, field-based role with genuine training and progression, we would love to hear from you.
