We are a family-run business with over a century of combined expertise, manufacturing and installing bespoke soft furnishings to luxury and contemporary hotels, as well as high-end multi-residential properties globally.
We are looking for a Site Operations Manager, based out of our London office, to lead our fitting teams and take ownership of the site survey and measuring process across our hotel projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong technical knowledge of curtains and soft furnishings, gained through genuine site experience. You will be the technical authority on measuring and installation, guiding both the fitting teams on site and the sewing room on how items need to be made.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee and manage all fitters, ensuring work is scheduled, resourced, and completed to a high standard
- Allocate tasks across the fitting team and manage day-to-day workload and priorities
- Provide clear leadership and direction, holding fitters accountable for quality and timekeeping
- Support the training and development of fitters, ensuring consistent standards across the team
- Lead on site surveys and measuring at hotel sites, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Take responsibility for all surveys, either carrying these out personally or overseeing others conducting them
- Interpret architectural drawings and site conditions to determine correct measurements and specifications
- Identify and resolve on-site issues that could affect fit, installation, or timelines
- Act as the technical point of contact between site and the sewing room, translating survey data into clear manufacturing instructions
- Guide the sewing room on construction and technical requirements based on site-specific findings
- Coordinate installation schedules with hotel clients, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations
- Maintain accurate records of surveys, measurements, and site visits
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in curtains or soft furnishings, with hands-on site survey and measuring experience essential
- Experience managing or leading a team of fitters
- Strong technical knowledge of curtain making, fitting, and installation requirements
- Experience working on hospitality or high-end residential projects is a strong advantage
- Full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel to sites as required
- Confident, hands-on leadership style with the ability to get the best out of a fitting team
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly with measurements and technical specifications
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical site detail clearly for the sewing room and wider team
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities at once
- Comfortable working closely with high-end hotel clients and representing the business professionally on site
- Strong knowledge and experience with Excel and technology would be an advantage
