Trainee Field Technician — Furniture Templating & Measuring — Hampshire & South Coast

Our client is a well-established national company with over 50 years of trading and an industry-leading name in made-to-measure furniture covers. They are looking to train selected individuals to become Trainee Field Technicians, making furniture templates and taking measurements in customers' homes for their expert team of loose cover makers to turn into beautiful furniture covers.

No furniture templating experience is needed as full training is provided, but if you hold upholstery, loose cover making, curtain making, sewing or tailoring experience you will be at an advantage. This is a full-time, permanent, field-based role covering Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex, Wiltshire, Berkshire and the Isle of Wight.

What you'll be doing

• Visit customers in their own homes to template and measure sofas, chairs and other upholstered furniture
• Take accurate measurements and record information clearly using the methodical templating system you will be trained in
• Represent the business professionally and deliver excellent customer service in every home you visit
• Drive between appointments set within a geographical area, up to three hours between customers' homes

What we're looking for

• A full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
• Willing to travel and comfortable driving between appointments across the southern counties
• Enjoy working with your hands, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Good customer service skills and a professional manner
• Upholstery, loose cover, curtain making, sewing or tailoring experience is an advantage but not essential

• £15.00 per hour, £30,420 per year based on a standard 39-hour week, Monday to Friday
