An established North London workshop specialising in luxury bespoke seating, reupholstery and furniture restoration, including designer furniture, is looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. The workshop is based in North London (N19), close to Archway and Holloway, with an immediate start available.
This is a hands-on bench role for an upholsterer with strong practical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to complete work independently to a very high standard, across both traditional and modern upholstery.
What you'll be doing
- Upholstering bespoke seating and reupholstering high-end and designer furniture from the frame up
- Traditional and modern upholstery techniques, including foam and fibre work, springing, stitching and finishing
- Fabric cutting and machine sewing of covers, cushions and details where required
- Furniture restoration and repair work to a luxury standard
- Working from drawings, samples and client specifications, managing your own jobs from start to finish
What we're looking for
- Strong practical upholstery experience, ideally in bespoke, high-end or designer furniture
- Experience with both traditional and modern upholstery methods
- Fabric cutting and sewing skills are an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and a consistently high standard of finish
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload in a small, skilled team
- Based within a comfortable commute of North London N19
What's on offer
- £38,000 to £42,000 per year depending on experience and skills
- Permanent, full-time employment, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm
- Immediate start available
