A well-established furniture and interiors company based in Twickenham is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join its Installation and Collections team. This is a hands-on role covering warehouse work, furniture installation, collections and van driving – ideal for candidates with a background in warehouse operations, removals, logistics, delivery driving or furniture/home staging installation.
You'll work from the Twickenham warehouse (TW1) most days, heading out with the team in a company Luton van to install and collect furniture, art and accessories at client properties. Full training is given.
What you'll be doing
- Assist with the installation and collection of furniture, art and accessories at client properties
- General warehouse duties: tidying, cleaning, storage, wrapping, packing, stacking and loading
- Keep company vans clean, tidy and correctly stocked with tools and packing materials
- Drive a 3.5 tonne Luton van to and from client sites when required
- Support the wider team with day-to-day warehouse and logistics tasks
- Represent the company professionally when working at client sites
What we're looking for
- Full, clean UK driving licence (Luton van/3.5 tonne experience an advantage)
- Previous experience in removals, warehouse work, logistics, delivery driving or furniture installation is preferred, though full training is given
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
- Good communication skills and a professional, polite manner when dealing with clients
- Able to commute to Twickenham (TW1) daily
- Due to insurance requirements, drivers of company vehicles must be aged 25 or over
- Able to provide references
